According to court documents, the couple’s son, Thomas, Jr., was found dead in his bedroom on the night of July 13, 2014. The devious duo are, in fact, Thomas Jasper ‘Tom’ Cat, Sr and Geraldine ‘Geraldine’ Jasper, both of whom have been charged with first- degree murder in the death of their son. The show’s popularity continued through the 1950s and 1960s, when Hanna-Barbera re-animated the series for syndication in the U.S. Not yet named in their debut theatrical short, Puss Gets the Boot (1940), Tom (the scheming cat) and Jerry (the spunky mouse) nonetheless were a hit with audiences. He then goes on to become an astronaut himself, becoming the second man to fly in space, after Neil Armstrong, in 1972. This time he is able to get a ride on the space shuttle Challenger, which is the first manned space flight in history. In the episode “Jerry’s Bucket List” (1969), Jerry’s bucket list is to go to the moon and back. Tom is dressed as a woman in more than one scene. Jerry is supposed to be male, but sometimes he’s not, as in the scene in Baby Puss (1942) when Jerry takes a bath in a doll’s house and is horrified when (Peeping) Tom watches him/her through the window. The character’s name is derived from Scooby-Doo, a character from the popular children’s television series, “The Flintstones.” The name was chosen because of its similarity to the word “scoobydoo,” which is the sound of a dog barking. Takamoto studied the breed while developing the character, but took liberties for the sake of animation. Great danes are one of the biggest dog breeds. “We thought it would be a good idea to give them names that were a little bit more appropriate for the species,” said the Humane Society’s director of marketing and public relations, Jennifer Keesmaat, in an interview with The Huffington Post. When the cats were first introduced to the public, they were given names like “Lucky” and “Maggie.” But after a few years, it was decided that they should be given new names. (The show was canceled after one season.) 3. It was also the name of the character on the TV show “The Young and the Restless,” which ran from 1989 to 1991. In the late ’80s, the cat was given a new name, “Kitty.” The name was inspired by the movie “Cat People,” in which a cat named Kitty lives in a house with a human family. The cat - then more of a realistic quadruped - chasing the chubby little mouse was dubbed “Jasper” in the early ’90s. They were originally named Jasper and Jinx.
